WELCOME
For many, entering therapy is an anxiety-provoking step, driven by painful circumstances. However, it also represents the beginning of a richly rewarding journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I can help you with a wide variety of problems, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, grief and trauma. Please visit the "About" tab to see the full scope of my practice. I have been in private practice for over 20 years, first in the Washington, D.C. area and for the past 15 years in Boulder. Before establishing my private practice, I worked in an inpatient psychiatric setting, a child protective services unit and at the Georgetown University student counseling center. My training at the Smith College School for Social Work gave me a strong background in insight- oriented, psychodynamic therapy. Since then, I have trained extensively in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and become a certified professional in that field. I have also studied a variety of stress and anxiety management techniques, including Hypnotherapy, MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and Mindful Self-Compassion. The depth and variety of my training and experience has created a multifaceted approach that allows me to meet you where you are and guide you in the right direction.
The only journey is
the journey within.
